We are Veterinary Emergency Group, a venture-backed company operating a rapidly expanding network of emergency veterinary hospitals across the United States. Backed by a multi-billion-dollar investor and on track to surpass 100 locations by the end of 2024, our mission is to deliver exceptional care when pets and their families need it most. We are seeking a Senior IT SaaS Engineer to join our infrastructure team and help maintain the reliable systems that support our people and our patients.
Key outcomes
- Implement, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot existing and emerging infrastructure products, devices, and services across the organization.
- Serve as an escalation resource for complex tickets related to identity platforms, device management, and integrated SaaS tools, ensuring timely resolution for all team members.
- Partner with the IT Support Team to diagnose new issues and coach colleagues on effective troubleshooting steps and procedures.
- Maintain and refine Okta workflows, applications, group rules, and policies, as well as Intune-managed device configurations, to support security and operational needs.
- Collaborate with Security, Networking, and Solutions teams on cross-functional projects that strengthen overall infrastructure reliability.
- Update and create documentation that closes knowledge gaps and supports consistent support practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly in writing and in presentations, with strong documentation practices.
- Demonstrated skill in cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities and maintain engagement with business partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Experience managing conflict and achieving resolution in technical or operational settings.
- Advanced troubleshooting expertise on identity and access management platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of Okta (Classic or Identity Engine), MDM platforms including Jamf and Intune, Microsoft Azure (Entra) and Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Freshservice.
- Proficiency working with JSON, PowerShell, and Python for automation and configuration tasks.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Okta Certified Professional credential or higher.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. In addition to competitive pay, we offer medical, dental, and vision insurance beginning on the first day of employment, a 401(k) plan with company match, ten weeks of fully paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, a company-provided laptop, monthly cell phone reimbursement, and a flexible hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the office.
