The role
We are seeking a mid-level IT Project Manager to join our agile team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for driving projects to completion while ensuring they meet our high standards for quality, budget, and timelines. This is a hybrid position for those located in the Des Moines metro area, requiring occasional visits to our offices in Ankeny and Des Moines. Please note that we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, setting clear milestones and ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with department leaders, vendors, and end users to ensure project synergy.
- Manage project workflows by delegating tasks to the right team members, resolving conflicts, and maintaining clear communication across the organization.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in project management and a passion for agile methodologies. We require the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in an IT Project Management role.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write project charters and clear agile stories.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience scheduling development work within sprints and aligning with developers on effort estimation.
- A project management or agile certification is highly preferred.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, as well as background in healthcare, manufacturing, or food production, is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM or ERP system implementations is also considered an asset.
