ABOUT PATH
Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.
ABOUT THE JOB
As part of the IT team, the IT Manager plays a key leadership role in managing the internal IT team and supporting the organization’s strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of IT, this role focuses on optimizing technology operations, supporting data analysis initiatives, enhancing vendor payment processes, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific guidelines.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team to effectively manage technology infrastructure, systems, and applications while promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement Assist with the development and implementation of strategic IT initiatives that align with the organization’s goals, including exploring emerging technologies and trends.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This includes performing audits, either scheduled or in response to an incident.
- Lead data analysis initiatives to derive actionable insights that inform decision-making processes, enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Design and oversee comprehensive internal training programs focused on skill development, technology adoption, and compliance with security protocols.
- Deliver comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing a wide range of software and hardware issues, guiding users through problem resolution, and ensuring a seamless technology experience to enhance productivity and user satisfaction.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of the operational processes within each division and evaluate current software systems. Based on this analysis, provide strategic recommendations for best-in-class software solutions tailored for organizations of our size, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and fostering innovation.
- Coordinate and oversee the strategic planning and organization of all technology equipment deployments, ensuring alignment with project timelines, resource availability, and operational requirements while facilitating effective communication among stakeholders throughout the deployment process.
- Oversee and manage the ticketing system, ensuring efficient tracking, prioritization, and resolution of technical support requests while fostering effective communication between IT staff and end-users to enhance overall service delivery.
- Collaborate with IT team members to plan, schedule, and execute system upgrades and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while maintaining effective communication throughout the process.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) to effectively manage IT projects and initiatives.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and practices, ensuring the organization’s data and systems are adequately protected against threats.
- Understanding of user experience principles to enhance IT service delivery and ensure a user-centric approach to technology solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data visualization tools to analyze and present data effectively.
- Experience with inventory management systems and tools that facilitate the tracking, management, and reporting of IT assets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) years of relevant professional experience in an IT management position, demonstrating leadership and operational oversight within an information technology environment.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Regardless of qualifications, candidates must:

Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role, all candidates must:
- Have reliable transportation
- A valid driver’s license
- Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
- The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage
