At Atomic Machines, we are on a mission to fundamentally change how humanity interacts with matter. We are building a revolutionary digital manufacturing platform that enables the creation of micro-scale machines, such as medical micro-robotics and lab-on-chip microfluidics, which were previously impossible to produce. As we scale our operations in Berkeley and Santa Clara, we are looking for a dedicated Senior IT Manager to join our multi-disciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape our infrastructure from the ground up while working alongside a passionate group of innovators. Because we believe in shared success, you will receive significant equity compensation, making you a true owner of the company as we work toward our world-changing goals.
What you'll be doing
- Take full ownership of our SaaS application environment, including managing access, provisioning, and the full lifecycle of software assets.
- Lead our IT operations and helpdesk functions, ensuring our team has seamless support for hardware, cloud-based tools like Google Workspace and Okta, and our internal network architecture.
- Drive process automation and efficiency by developing robust playbooks, documentation, and security protocols to keep our systems resilient and scalable.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in IT administration and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Five to eight years of experience in an IT management or senior administrative role.
- A solid understanding of network architecture and the ability to build and configure scalable hybrid networks.
- Hands-on experience with Okta deployment and workflow automation.
- Proficiency in managing diverse operating systems, including Mac OS, Linux, and Windows.
- The ability to work on-site in Santa Clara with occasional travel to our Berkeley location.
- Excellent communication skills and a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude toward developing new policies and learning emerging technologies in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll get
Joining our team means you will be at the forefront of a manufacturing revolution. In addition to a collaborative and inventive work environment, you will receive:
- Significant equity compensation, allowing you to benefit directly from our long-term success.
- The opportunity to define and build IT infrastructure from the early stages of a high-growth company.
- Exposure to a cutting-edge, multi-disciplinary environment where you will be challenged to grow as both a builder and a leader.
