IT Lead at Slingshot Aerospace

We are looking for a dedicated IT Lead to join our team and help us maintain a high-compliance environment that supports both our commercial and government customers. As a senior, hands-on contributor, you will play a vital role in managing our technical infrastructure across the aerospace and analytics sectors. What you'll be doing

• You will lead our day-to-day IT operations, providing top-tier technical support and acting as the primary escalation point for complex service desk issues while mentoring the broader team.
• You will manage our entire endpoint and identity ecosystem, including Mac and Windows management, Okta administration, and security tools like CrowdStrike and Zscaler to ensure a robust Zero Trust environment.
• You will drive efficiency by developing automation scripts in Bash, PowerShell, and Python, while applying DevOps principles like Terraform to eliminate repetitive manual tasks and improve our overall infrastructure.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in IT engineering and systems administration. We are looking for someone who brings the following:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT engineering or systems administration, supported by an associate degree in a relevant technical field.
• Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft environments, Okta, and MDM platforms like Intune or Addigy.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, along with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals and security tools like CrowdStrike and Zscaler.
• A proactive, security-minded approach and the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high-compliance standards, such as NIST 800-171.
