IT Intern at Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are looking for a motivated IT Intern to join our team at Ford Field. We are an organization defined by a blue-collar work ethic and a commitment to building an inclusive, transparent culture that reflects the innovation and drive of Detroit.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to our Football Operations staff through various channels, including in-person, phone, email, and our ticketing system.
• Manage and troubleshoot computer hardware and software, including imaging, repairs, and general maintenance.
• Oversee user and computer accounts within Active Directory and manage group policies.
• Support specialized video system hardware used by our coaching and personnel departments.
• Create helpful documentation and provide orientation for staff regarding new software and hardware.
• Maintain accurate inventories of all company technology assets.
• Ensure the confidentiality of all information accessed or stored on our network.

Must-haves

• Current status as a college senior or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues both in person and remotely.
• Experience creating and deploying operating system images.
• Excellent communication skills with a talent for training and supporting users.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, to support games and departmental needs.
• Ability to work on-site at both the Ford Field Management Office and the Meijer Performance Training Facility.
