At Kairos Power, we are dedicated to accelerating the transition to clean energy. Our team is focused on commercializing fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor technology to provide safe, affordable, and flexible energy solutions. We are currently looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will be the backbone of our technical environment, ensuring that our end-user devices and core applications operate smoothly to support our ambitious engineering and manufacturing goals.
What you'll be doing
- You will design, deploy, and maintain a robust hybrid infrastructure that spans our various offices and datacenters.
- You will standardize the management of our cloud and on-premises networking and compute resources, utilizing Infrastructure as Code practices whenever possible.
- You will collaborate with external partners and internal teams to build scalable, automated solutions that enhance the performance of our critical business applications and networks.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in systems and network engineering, particularly within industrial or engineering environments. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 7 years of total IT experience, with 3 or more years of recent experience as a Systems or Network Engineer in a medium or enterprise-scale organization.
- A deep understanding of cloud services, including design and integration experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Practical expertise in configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- High proficiency in managing Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, along with experience in MDM and SSO technologies.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of professional certifications and relevant work experience.
- Excellent communication skills and a resourceful, problem-solving mindset that thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
