We are looking for a Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Information Security team in Tokyo. As part of Sony Interactive Entertainment, we lead the global gaming industry by developing and maintaining the infrastructure behind the PlayStation family of products and services, including the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation Plus.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and support the implementation of security solutions across our infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve security issues within our IT systems.
- Develop security designs for public cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
- Collaborate with global IT and security teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia to maintain a secure environment.
- Manage security incidents as they arise.
- Continuously improve security protocols while balancing operational efficiency across both large-scale platforms and smaller internal systems.
Must-haves
- At least one year of experience in security-related roles or internal infrastructure design, construction, or operations.
- Practical experience implementing or operating at least one of the following: EDR solutions, vulnerability or security compliance tools, endpoint management solutions, or public cloud security services.
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese for daily communication with local staff.
- Proficiency in English for collaboration with our global teams.
- A proactive mindset toward learning, automation, and effective communication with international stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with security products such as WAF or vulnerability scanners.
- Background in the implementation and management of Office 365 or other SaaS platforms.
- Experience in web service development or operations within cloud environments.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management for internal infrastructure and web services.
- Previous experience working in a CSIRT or SOC environment.
