The role

We are seeking an experienced IT Governance Lead to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a leadership-level position based in Ireland, offering a hybrid work environment that provides the flexibility to balance onsite and remote collaboration. You will report directly to the Director of IT Governance and play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting controls and overall IT compliance framework.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of IT compliance, including performing risk assessments, scoping, and managing the remediation of any identified deficiencies.
• Drive stakeholder engagement by influencing process owners to establish robust enterprise-level controls and directing internal and external audit teams to ensure cohesive testing strategies.
• Oversee the maintenance and improvement of our ITGC framework, which includes managing user access reviews, reviewing SOC1 reports for third-party dependencies, and ensuring all policies and procedures remain accurate and effective.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in IT risk and compliance. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 8 years of experience specifically focused on ITGC, SOX compliance, and IT controls.
• Professional certifications such as CISA or CGEIT.
• Proven expertise in managing IT controls across diverse environments, including cloud infrastructures, SaaS applications, and on-premises systems.
• A deep understanding of industry standards like COBIT and experience working with enterprise platforms.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and the confidence to challenge the status quo.
