We are the Information Technology team behind the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Sports Management, the Red Sox Foundation, and FSG Real Estate. Our department manages everything from corporate and ballpark infrastructure to the fan engagement apps that bring our games to life. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming workplace that values diversity and community, and we are looking for someone who shares that passion to help us keep our operations running smoothly during our busiest times.
What is this role?
We are looking for an IT Game Day Support Lead to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a lead-level position based on-site in the United States. You will act as the main point of contact for our staff during game days and events, ensuring that all our technology systems perform perfectly while you manage our support team and handle any technical escalations that arise.
What will you do?
- Take charge of IT operations on game days by leading our support staff and serving as the primary escalation point for any technical issues that impact our executives or ballpark operations.
- Perform essential pre-game checks and setups for a variety of systems, including audio equipment, streaming devices, television channels, and virtual reality stations.
- Use our ticketing software to monitor, track, and resolve IT incidents in real time while collaborating with our broader technical teams to troubleshoot network and Wi-Fi performance.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be a strong communicator with a knack for solving problems under pressure. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can handle the unique demands of a baseball season schedule, which includes evenings and weekends.
You will be a great match if you have the following:
- At least two years of experience working in a Service Desk or Desktop Engineering role.
- Deep technical proficiency with Windows 10, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and iOS devices.
- Experience with MacOS hardware, Zoom administration, and ServiceNow ITSM.
- Familiarity with video conferencing tools and cloud storage solutions like OneDrive or Dropbox.
- A preference for candidates with experience in Mobile Device Management software.
What's in it for you?
Working with us means becoming part of an organization that is deeply committed to its values and its people. We believe in fostering a sense of belonging for every employee, and we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every single qualification listed. We value unique experiences and are dedicated to providing a workplace free from discrimination, where your skills and contributions are truly recognized.
