IT Engineer at Hummingbird

What you bring

We are seeking a Senior IT Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. As our foundational hire in this space, you will work remotely from anywhere to build our IT and security infrastructure from the ground up. You will play a key role in shaping our technical environment while collaborating across the entire organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing scalable IT processes that empower our teams to succeed using the best technology available.
• Managing our growing suite of software solutions, ensuring each is configured securely and that access is properly controlled.
• Collaborating with HR and engineering departments to design a world-class onboarding experience while maintaining rigorous security protocols.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with 3 to 5 years of experience in IT and security, preferably within a remote-first SaaS startup environment. You should have a deep understanding of MacOS and Apple ecosystems, along with hands-on experience managing Google Workspace and Jamf. Proficiency with SSO and SAML solutions like Okta is essential, as is a strong background in SOC2 compliance procedures. We value candidates who possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across a distributed organization. Fluency in English is required for this role.
