The role
We are looking for a Junior IT Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in India. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage the IT needs of our local office while contributing to our broader, global IT initiatives. You will work alongside a dedicated, diverse technology team and report directly to our IT Lead. We value a balanced approach to problem-solving and are looking for a professional, kind individual who is truly passionate about technology.
Core responsibilities
- Provide direct support to staff by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Manage the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Contribute to global IT projects while maintaining accurate job reports and managing office supply orders.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Between 1 and 3 years of professional experience in an IT engineering or similar support role.
- Advanced technical knowledge regarding computer hardware, including chipsets and memory modules, as well as networking infrastructure.
- Proficiency with modern operating systems, various software applications, and remote connection tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally.
- A flexible mindset, including the willingness to travel and work outside of standard business hours when the situation requires it.
