At Alto, we are transforming the investment landscape by making it possible for everyday investors to use their tax-advantaged retirement funds to access alternative assets like cryptocurrency, real estate, and startups. We are looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join our remote-first team and help maintain the secure, seamless technology infrastructure that powers our mission.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize our Okta-based identity solutions while collaborating with internal teams to meet their access needs.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of our macOS and Windows fleet, including deployment, patching, and vulnerability management.
- Administer third-party SaaS platforms and identify opportunities to automate manual tasks to improve efficiency.
- Support our security posture by managing tools such as EDR, email security, and CASB platforms.
- Handle IT support requests, hardware inventory, and logistics while troubleshooting software and network issues.
- Educate team members on technology best practices through various communication channels.
Must-haves
- 5 to 7 years of experience in IT support and engineering roles.
- Proven expertise in identity management, specifically with Okta, Google Workspace, and EntraID.
- Strong knowledge of the Atlassian suite, including Jira Service Management.
- Experience with endpoint management stacks like Jamf Pro and GitHub.
- Proficiency in security tools such as CrowdStrike, Datadog, and OSquery.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, including TCP/UDP, DHCP, and DNS.
- Experience with cloud-first architectures and zero-trust environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within highly regulated financial environments.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional certifications such as Okta Certified Professional or Jamf Certified Tech.
- Ability to use scripting or coding to automate processes and improve scalability.
- A Bachelor's degree.
