The role

We are seeking a Mid-Level IT Applications Engineer II to join our business applications team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and supporting the software systems and integrations that drive our e-commerce, product activation, and billing middleware. You will work across our internal and external APIs to ensure our infrastructure remains robust and scalable. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across a variety of technologies and is eager to solve complex problems in a collaborative environment.

Core responsibilities

• Own the full development lifecycle for small-to-medium tasks, including designing, testing, and supporting features that improve our internal and customer-facing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including our finance, accounting, and product engineering teams, to implement and maintain critical software integrations.
• Triage and resolve production issues, contribute to our on-call rotation, and document processes to ensure our team maintains high performance and scalability benchmarks.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in full-stack development and a desire to learn new architectures. We require the following qualifications:

• At least 2 years of professional experience building full-stack web applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with web technologies.
• Experience working with front-end frameworks like React or Redux, as well as SQL and database management.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A proven ability to work autonomously and effectively within an Agile team environment.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is highly valued, as is experience with AWS, WordPress, or e-commerce gateways like Stripe and ChargeBee.
