Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior IoT Systems Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere in the world. You will report directly to our Backend Lead and play a key role in integrating new hardware and refining our backend architecture.
Your impact
- Design and implement scalable backend systems that power our core platform, with a primary focus on integrating new LoRaWAN IoT hardware.
- Develop and maintain robust payload decoders and encoders to ensure seamless communication between our system and third-party devices.
- Collaborate with our cross-functional teams in the SF Bay Area and Argentina to tackle backend tickets, optimize hardware integrations, and write future-proof code.
What you'll need
- At least 4 years of professional experience building and maintaining complex IoT and backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Deep understanding of LoRaWAN architecture, network components, and wireless communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with AWS IoT and MQTT.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with prior experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Bonus points for familiarity with PostgresSQL, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
