ChargePoint is at the forefront of the electric mobility revolution, managing one of the world’s largest EV charging networks. We are looking for a Senior IoT Operations Engineer to join our team and help us scale our infrastructure to support over 500,000 charging stations globally.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain cellular connectivity for our extensive network of IoT devices.
Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues and manage support tickets with our IoT providers.
Automate repetitive tasks and develop solutions for advanced network monitoring.
Provide level 4 debugging support and collaborate with development teams to resolve bug patterns.
Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders regarding network health and incident status.
Document technical processes and cross-train team members to ensure operational consistency.
Assist in the strategic transition between legacy and modern IoT providers.

Must-haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
At least 6 years of experience in IoT operations or network management.
Strong proficiency in BASH shell scripting and Python for process automation.
Solid understanding of cellular IoT connectivity, network topology, VPNs, and access rights.
Experience with SQL for database querying and report generation.
Proven ability to document technical procedures and manage complex workflows.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to work the required shift from 8:30pm to 4:30am IST.

Nice-to-haves

Practical experience with Linux environments.
Familiarity with Confluence and Jira for project tracking and documentation.
Previous experience working with multiple IoT providers or cloud-based SaaS services.
A background in cross-functional collaboration.
