iOS Engineering Lead at Flourish

Since 2017, Flourish has empowered independent Registered Investment Advisors by providing access to sophisticated financial products through intuitive, scalable technology. As a subsidiary of MassMutual, we combine the agility of a growing startup with the stability of a Fortune 500 company, currently supporting over 900 firms managing more than $1.6 trillion in assets. We are looking for an iOS Engineering Lead to join our team in New York City and spearhead the development of our mobile platform from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical strategy and architecture for our new mobile group as we bring the Flourish platform to iOS.
• Collaborate with product managers and business leaders to translate complex requirements into high-quality, user-focused mobile experiences.
• Oversee the entire mobile development lifecycle, including building, testing, and deploying applications to the App Store.
• Perform architecture and code reviews to ensure our mobile products meet high standards for security and performance.
• Work closely with design teams to ensure our UI code is both visually polished and functionally robust across all iOS devices.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of open communication and continuous learning.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of experience in mobile application development.
• Minimum of 3 years dedicated to building, launching, and maintaining high-quality iOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and native APIs.
• Strong grasp of mobile security best practices and data management.
• Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a fast-paced, collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A solid foundation in computer science principles and a passion for creating delightful user interfaces.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with SwiftUI.
• Experience working with GraphQL, particularly using Apollo and TypeScript.
• Background in full-stack or backend development, including building REST APIs.
• Familiarity with cross-platform tools like React Native or Expo.
• Active contributions to open-source projects.
• Interest in the fintech or insurtech sectors.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Physics.

Benefits

We offer a base salary range of $167,800 to $220,200, supplemented by bonus and incentive opportunities.
