Since our founding in 2019, we have dedicated ourselves to making expert marketing accessible to businesses of all sizes, ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 100 giants like Netflix, Palantir, and Chanel. As an Internal Tools Developer, you will play a vital role in our mission to shape the future of work by building the infrastructure that empowers our internal teams. We are a remote-first organization that values diverse perspectives and creative problem-solving, and we are looking for a senior-level contractor who is ready to take ownership of our internal systems.
What you'll be doing
- You will maintain and improve our ecosystem of Retool applications and workflows by utilizing JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL to implement new features and refine the user experience.
- You will design and troubleshoot Slack integrations through the Slack API to automate essential alerts, communications, and internal workflows.
- You will manage access controls and security protocols across our core platforms, including HubSpot, GSuite, Segment, and Retool, while ensuring we adhere to the principle of least privilege and robust data protection standards.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a service-oriented mindset. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL, with a proven ability to optimize performance and resolve complex technical issues.
- Significant hands-on experience building custom components and API integrations within Retool or similar internal tool platforms.
- A solid understanding of Git workflows, including branching, code reviews, and version control best practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of information security fundamentals, such as managing API keys and securing data in transit.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English while translating business needs into technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
- A history of success in roles such as a Support Engineer, Technical IT Admin, or Internal Tools Developer, supported by a degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
What you'll get
As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy the following benefits:
- Complete remote work flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world.
- The opportunity to work a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule with a preference for overlap with EST or European business hours.
- The chance to make a meaningful impact at a company that is actively transforming the global talent landscape.
