Internal Tooling Engineer at Eightsleep

The role

We are looking for a Junior Internal Tooling Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site position based in either our San Francisco or New York offices. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between our engineering team and our logistics and customer service departments, ensuring that our users receive world-class technical support while we continue to refine our products.

Core responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate internal tools and test systems to evaluate product performance and operating conditions.
• Collaborate with product management to gather data and generate reporting that directly informs our product development cycle.
• Troubleshoot escalated technical cases and manage the processes that allow our support team to resolve issues efficiently.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of experience working with React and web technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, and BASH.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, such as solutions consulting or technical support.
• A high level of attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
