Intermediate Software Engineer at Stronghold

We are looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer to join our engineering team and help us scale innovative solutions in decentralized finance and payments.

What you bring

We are looking for someone with senior-level experience who will work full time in a remote capacity. Your background should include engineering work with .NET, Go, SQL, Node.js, and React.js. You will maintain our Platform APIs, contribute to all stages of development from vision through implementation, and support new functionality with APIs for external developers. You will also receive, prioritize, and help solve technical problems from our customer base. This role is open to candidates located anywhere.

Requirements

You bring at least six years of hands-on software development experience within a team setting. Strong proficiency in .NET or Go, along with solid SQL skills, is essential, while familiarity with Node.js or Rust is considered an advantage. Experience building frontend interfaces and single-page applications using TypeScript or JavaScript with React.js and Next.js is important, and knowledge of additional frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or Svelte is welcome. You should be comfortable creating and maintaining APIs for external developers and working with established frameworks and open-source tools. A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Hands-on experience with Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloudflare, Terraform, Redis, Git, GitLab or GitHub, DataDog, Sentry, and Google Cloud Platform (Azure or AWS experience is also valued) will help you succeed. We value quick learners who communicate clearly, advocate during technical discussions, and thrive in a collaborative environment where autonomy and simplicity are encouraged. Experience in financial institutions, especially with payments systems such as Visa, Mastercard, US ACH, wires, CA Interac, or cross-border transfers, is a plus.
