Hello! We are looking for a talented Intermediate QA Analyst to join our team at InnoCraft. We are the creators of Matomo Analytics, an open-source platform that empowers over a million websites worldwide to maintain full data ownership and privacy. Our mission is to liberate analytics, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for high-quality software and user-focused problem solving to help us improve the core Matomo experience.
What you'll be doing
- Triage and Assessment: You will actively participate in the triage process by evaluating issues reported by our community and internal teams, determining their priority based on severity and impact.
- Manual and Automated Testing: You will design and execute manual smoke, usability, and regression tests while also building and maintaining automated end-to-end and API test scripts using JavaScript frameworks like Playwright.
- Collaboration and Strategy: You will work closely with our global team of developers and product owners to align on testing objectives, contribute to our testing frameworks, and help identify opportunities to improve our overall QA processes.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and quality assurance. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, including a solid foundation in test automation.
- Proficiency in designing manual test plans and maintaining automated test scripts using JavaScript-based frameworks.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- A deep understanding of software development lifecycles and modern testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English with a diverse, global team.
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- You must be based in New Zealand to be eligible for this role.
