What is this role?
We are searching for a Junior Interconnection Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this position, you will work closely with the Director of Interconnection to support various departments across our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to contribute to our mission of advancing renewable energy infrastructure.
What will you do?
- Oversee the creation, tracking, and management of all interconnection applications and technical drawings using our Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for utility customer portals on a daily basis.
- Conduct thorough research into utility infrastructure to provide guidance on the best interconnection options for our upcoming projects.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering and a passion for the solar industry. We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A degree in Electrical, Power Systems, Computer, or I&C Engineering.
- At least one year of professional experience working with a solar developer or an electric utility.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for editing and drafting site plans and single-line diagrams.
- A solid understanding of solar and storage components, including inverters, batteries, and transformers.
- Familiarity with electrical diagrams at 480V and above.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as you will be coordinating with internal teams and attending policy working group meetings.
- Fluency in English.
