The role
We are looking for a Mid-Level Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role that can be performed from anywhere. You will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability, security, and efficiency of our infrastructure. Because security is a top priority for us, we are looking for someone with a strong DevSecOps mindset who can help us build and protect our systems while working within our distributed, asynchronous environment.
Core responsibilities
- Take ownership of the architecture and management of our AWS infrastructure components with a primary focus on security.
- Perform hardening of server and container images, gather software bills of materials, and ingest CloudTrail and audit logs into Splunk for incident reporting.
- Secure our AWS accounts by managing IAM roles, policies, perimeter security, and WAF configurations.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a solid foundation in both infrastructure and security. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar engineering or security role.
- A strong background in the security field, including experience with networking, database, and application-level security tools.
- Working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and a solid understanding of DevOps principles.
- Proficiency with Containers, K8S, Python, and Shell scripting.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a broad awareness of enterprise-level security systems like VPN and DLP.
- Familiarity with industry security standards such as ISO270xx and SOC2.
Compensation and benefits
We believe in supporting our team members both personally and professionally. Our benefits package includes:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- A dedicated learning budget to support your professional development.
- Flexible hours and a flexible work location, including options for remote and hybrid work.
