Infrastructure Engineer at Gauntlet

We are Gauntlet, and we are building the financial systems of the future. By bridging the gap between traditional finance and crypto-native expertise, we offer sophisticated vault products for institutional clients. We currently manage over $1.5 billion in client total value locked, serving a diverse range of fintechs, neobanks, and capital allocators. As we continue to scale our operations, we are looking for a talented engineer to help shape the infrastructure that powers our onchain finance platform.

What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-impact position where you will serve as the second infrastructure hire in the company. You will work directly with our platform lead to own significant portions of our cloud-native environment. This role is perfect for someone who wants to move beyond narrow tasks and take genuine ownership of the tools, patterns, and architectural direction of our platform.

What will you do?

• Support application teams: You will handle infrastructure requests such as service setup, project peering, and permissions to ensure our product engineers can focus on shipping features.
• Manage CI/CD and deployments: You will maintain and improve our GitHub Actions workflows, working toward a fully automated and secure deployment model that removes the need for direct manual access to production.
• Advance infrastructure and observability: You will author Terraform modules for our GCP environment, manage Kubernetes deployments via Helm, and unify our alerting systems into a single, cohesive framework.

What makes you a great fit?

We are looking for someone with strong software engineering fundamentals and a deep understanding of cloud-native systems. You should be comfortable writing code in a production language like Python, as well as scripting in the shell. Your technical background should include hands-on experience with GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform. We value clear written communication, especially when it comes to documenting design decisions and managing incident responses. While this role does not interact directly with the blockchain, a genuine curiosity about the onchain ecosystem is a major plus. Please note that at this time, we are only hiring candidates who are able to work within the contiguous United States and Canada.
