The role

We are looking for a Senior Information Technology Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role that offers the flexibility of remote work while requiring onsite visits to client offices and homes. You will be expected to bring several years of experience to the table, as you will be managing a diverse range of networking, server, and security needs for our clients. Please note that this position may occasionally require work during evenings or weekends to handle project-driven tasks or business-critical operations.

Core responsibilities

• Provide expert support for desktop, server, and networking environments through a mix of remote assistance and onsite client visits.
• Take full ownership of IT projects, including managing budgets and liaising with vendors to ensure successful outcomes.
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot complex IT infrastructure while documenting all processes and standards to ensure system integrity.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a commitment to professional growth. We require candidates to have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in the IT industry. You should be proficient in the following areas:

• Technical Proficiencies: Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy, as well as experience with VMWare, Hyper-V, Cisco hardware, NAS/SAN storage, VPNs, Exchange, O365, and SQL.
• Operational Excellence: A methodical approach to troubleshooting and a strong sense of security when handling sensitive client data.
• Professionalism: Excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Physical Requirements: A valid driver's license is required, and you must be comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, bending, or crawling when installing or maintaining hardware.

Relevant certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, or CompTIA are considered a significant advantage.
