ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our Information Security team, initially on a 6 month contract. You will be responsible for governance, risk management, and compliance activities related to information security. You will help expand Ada’s existing certifications and compliance activities to cater further to the North American region. You will work closely with members of the Information Security team, as well as other stakeholders across the organization to identify, analyze, and manage risks and requirements related to relevant regulations, standards, and contracts. You will participate in audits and drive positive change throughout Ada’s processes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Be a subject matter expert for information security governance, risk management, supplier management, and compliance
- Identify, document, and implement requirements from business-relevant regulations, standards, and contracts
- Drive and/or participate in information security risk management activities
- Drive and/or participate in information supplier management activities
- Drive and/or participate in information security internal auditing activities
- Manage the treatment of identified risks
- Manage the remediation of audit findings
- Implement and/or maintain relevant information security policies, procedures, and guidelines
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Work experience with governance, risk management, supplier management, and compliance aspects of information security
- Understanding of North American security standards and regulations (e.g. SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA / HITECH / HITRUST CSF, PHIPA/PIPEDA)
- Experience and/or training for information security audit performance (internal or external)
- Ability to understand and apply risk assessment and treatment processes
- Strong analytical skills and experience performing gap analyses
- Open-mindedness, ability to learn and improve
- Commitment to quality
- Respect for diverse perspectives
- Basic skills or understanding of software development and a technology background
- Basic skills or understanding of networking and cloud computing
- Good communication skills and Ability to work collaboratively with diverse group of people
- Fluency in English, spoken and written
