About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Information Security Activity Promoter to join us on a full-time basis. In this leadership-track role, you will act as a vital link between our global teams in the US, EU, and Asia to drive information security initiatives across Japan and the broader Asian market. You will be responsible for localizing security processes, ensuring they are effectively implemented without hindering the daily productivity of our employees, and managing organizational security governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the localization and implementation of global security processes by collaborating closely with international stakeholders to ensure these measures are tailored for the Japanese and Asian markets.
- Design and manage organizational security governance, which includes evaluating security measures, identifying risks, and proposing solutions that align with industry standards.
- Execute security awareness campaigns and compliance activities, ensuring that our internal teams are well-informed about cyber threats and that security requirements are integrated into broader compliance workflows.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess at least five years of professional experience in information security or IT-related fields. We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience in developing security guidelines, conducting IT security reviews, performing risk analysis, or managing security-related projects.
- Strong technical knowledge to facilitate productive discussions regarding security requirements and system design with IT departments.
- Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English, as you will frequently collaborate with overseas teams, draft reports, and participate in international meetings.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build networks across departments and explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are highly valued, as is experience with ITIL-based process development or knowledge of international compliance frameworks like GDPR, NIST, or ISO 27001.
Location
This position is based in Japan and requires an on-site presence.
