About the Role
We are looking for a Mid-Level Industrial Automation Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing control programs for our gravity energy storage systems. You will work with a variety of technologies, including PLCs, motion control systems, and HMI interfaces, to revolutionize how energy is stored and generated on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Innovate and improve the design of our existing gravity energy storage systems.
- Develop and write automation code specifically utilizing Beckhoff systems.
- Execute, test, and troubleshoot your designs and code directly on project sites.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in industrial automation and a passion for our sustainability mission. We require the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a Beckhoff automation programmer.
- Significant field experience working in manufacturing facilities or on industrial construction sites.
- Proven expertise in motion control, high-speed automation, and PID controller coding.
- Proficiency with PLC systems and network communications.
- Educational requirements vary by experience level, ranging from a high school diploma with 9+ years of experience to a Master’s or Doctoral degree with 3+ years of experience.
- A willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, particularly to our site in Snyder, Texas.

This position is based in the United States and operates under a hybrid work model.
