Role at a glance
We are searching for an India Site Lead - Engineering to establish and scale our new engineering center of excellence from the ground up. This is a full-time, lead-level position based on-site in either our Bangalore or Hyderabad office. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical footprint in the region while working in close partnership with our North American leadership teams.
Your impact
- Build and Scale: You will lead the end-to-end setup of our India engineering organization, from physical office establishment to recruiting and retaining top-tier technical talent.
- Strategic Alignment: You will define the strategic roadmap for our India operations, ensuring our local goals are perfectly synced with WMG’s global technology vision.
- Operational Excellence: You will oversee daily operations, manage budgets, and implement high-standard software development practices to foster a culture of innovation and performance.
What you'll need
We are looking for a seasoned leader who thrives in high-growth environments. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of leadership experience, including a proven track record of managing organizations of up to 100 people.
- Deep expertise in the full software development lifecycle and a strong technical background.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to navigate a complex, global, cross-functional environment.
- A passion for building teams and a commitment to fostering a collaborative, curious, and inclusive workplace.
- Fluency in English.
