We are the Experience Team at Zoox, and we are dedicated to defining and championing the human experience across our entire organization. Our work is rooted in a human-centered design process that is iterative, data-driven, and highly collaborative. We are currently searching for a talented Human Computer Interaction Research Intern to help us invent unique solutions and define new interaction paradigms for AI. What you'll be doing
- You will partner with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to pinpoint research needs and craft effective research strategies.
- You will lead the planning and execution of various research activities, such as field studies, interviews, interaction analysis, and participatory design.
- You will synthesize your findings into actionable recommendations and communicate these insights clearly to key stakeholders to help guide product decisions.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should be a creative thinker who is eager to solve complex problems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- You are currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. in Human Computer Interaction, Human Robot Interaction, or Human Factors Research.
- You have practical experience applying design thinking and human-centered design principles.
- You are proficient in a wide range of research methodologies, including field observations, interviews, and the creation of strategic user profiles and personas.
- You have a strong command of the English language and a genuine passion for exploring how emerging technologies can improve people's lives.
- Bonus points if you have previous experience in the tech, automotive, or autonomous vehicle industries.
What you'll get
For this internship, we offer a monthly salary range of $6,500 to $9,500. In addition to your compensation, you will have access to the following benefits:
