About the Role
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join us in a full-time, hybrid capacity. Based at our Downtown Los Angeles headquarters, this role supports the operational functions of our Human Resources department. You will serve as a subject matter expert for our HR Information Systems, manage our volunteer and intern programs, and ensure that all our administrative processes remain in compliance with relevant regulations. Please note that this position requires a 100% on-site presence in Los Angeles for the first 90 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the organization’s core HRIS system, including system upgrades, troubleshooting, data integrity audits, and providing training to staff to ensure accurate reporting and processing.
- Serve as the primary liaison between HR, information services, and external vendors to lead design and implementation projects while maintaining data security and privacy.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of volunteer and intern programs, from recruitment and background checks to onboarding and the maintenance of accurate records and contracts.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a minimum of 1 year focused on HRIS administration, people analytics, or program leadership.
- A valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation, as this role requires travel within Los Angeles County.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Preferred qualifications include: Experience in the healthcare industry, SHRM-CP or PHR certification, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
Location
This position is based in Los Angeles, California. While the role offers a hybrid work arrangement, you must be available to work on-site at our headquarters full-time for the first 90 days.
Compensation and Benefits
