Evergreen Services Group is a San Francisco-based holding company that believes in the power of people. Since 2017, we have acquired over 100 businesses across sectors like cybersecurity, government services, and managed IT. Our mission is to be the best home for these companies by combining smart capital allocation with inspired operations. Unlike traditional private equity firms that look for a quick exit, we take a long-term approach to growth. Our team of 40 professionals is dedicated to supporting our portfolio companies, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for building strong, thriving organizations to join our People Team.
The opportunity
As our HR Coordinator, you will be the heartbeat of our internal operations. You will serve as a trusted partner to our employees, ensuring that our people processes are not only efficient but also welcoming. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on organization and enjoys the challenge of managing the details that make a workplace run smoothly. You will work on-site in our San Francisco office, playing a vital role in maintaining the high standards of support and compliance that define our culture.
A day in the life
- Managing the employee lifecycle: You will own the onboarding and offboarding experience, ensuring every new hire feels welcomed and every departing team member is treated with care and professionalism.
- Overseeing core HR operations: You will be responsible for the accuracy of payroll and benefits administration, acting as the primary liaison for our providers and resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensuring compliance and records management: You will keep our HR systems audit-ready by maintaining accurate personnel files and staying current on federal and local labor laws to keep our policies and handbooks up to date.
Who you are
You are a detail-oriented professional with 2 to 3 years of experience in HR or People Operations. You communicate with clarity and discretion, and you are comfortable handling sensitive information with the utmost professionalism. You take initiative, solve problems independently, and enjoy building relationships across the organization. Proficiency in English is required, and while you may have experience with HRIS platforms, we value a willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous growth above all else.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in rewarding our team for their hard work and dedication. The base salary for this position is $80,000 to $100,000, plus a bonus. Beyond the numbers, we provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and future, including:
- Medical and dental insurance coverage.
- A 401k retirement plan.
- Generous paid time off and an unlimited vacation policy.
- Opportunities for remote work flexibility.
We are a team that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and we encourage you to apply even if you do not check every single box on our list. We look forward to meeting you.
