We are building the premier biocomputing platform at Watershed, where our mission is to accelerate digital drug discovery through advanced big data analysis. Our team is dedicated to empowering researchers by providing a unified software platform that handles everything from initial lab data to final analysis, and we are looking for a Senior High Performance Computing Engineer to help us drive innovation in this 40 billion dollar industry.
Responsibilities
- Build and integrate complex software libraries and cluster computing frameworks into our high performance applications.
- Design and implement robust solutions for resource monitoring, benchmarking, and metric collection.
- Work closely with our engineering team to refine software performance and ensure we achieve maximum computational throughput.
Must-haves
- Proven expertise in parallel computing, distributed computing, software optimization, and computer architecture.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python, C/C++, and Bash.
- Hands-on experience working within Unix/Linux environments, including cloud infrastructure and containerization.
- A solid understanding of networking, security protocols, and the Linux operating system.
- A demonstrated ability to tackle highly complex technical challenges with creative and novel solutions.
