The opportunity
We are seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis at our Middletown, Connecticut office. This role is vital to our daily operations, as you will serve as the primary point of contact for our clinical and administrative staff, as well as the patients who rely on our app. You will work closely with our IT and Application Support team to ensure that our hardware and software systems run smoothly, allowing our providers to focus on what matters most: patient care. This is an on-site position where your technical expertise and customer-service mindset will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality, virtual healthcare.
A day in the life
- You will manage the onboarding process for new hires by setting up laptops, configuring email accounts, and preparing all necessary equipment.
- You will provide friendly, efficient support to both staff and patients via phone, video, and chat to resolve issues with our applications and hardware.
- You will track all incoming requests through our ticketing system and create helpful, simplified training resources to empower our users.
Who you are
You are a tech-savvy individual with a strong foundation in hardware, software, and networking. You communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, and you genuinely enjoy helping others solve problems. We are looking for someone who brings the following experience:
- Hands-on experience with Intel-based desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Proficiency in Windows 10+, macOS, and Microsoft Office 365.
- A solid understanding of networking concepts, including Active Directory, Azure, Cloud Computing, and Meraki Firewalls.
- The ability to identify and address security concerns like system hacks, viruses, and spyware.
- A detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting, even when working under pressure.
