Role at a glance
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Data Architect / Senior Data Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is an executive-level position where you will play a foundational role in shaping our data strategy, processing longitudinal patient data, and ensuring our platform remains a leader in the healthcare industry.
Your impact
- Data Engineering: You will build and optimize scalable pipelines for ingestion and transformation, ensuring our platform remains reliable and efficient while reducing operational costs.
- Architecture & Quality: You will lead the design of robust data models and governance frameworks, setting the standards for data security and privacy across our product suite.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: You will partner with our product, engineering, and data science teams to translate complex business requirements into high-impact data solutions.
What you'll need
- Over 8 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years focused on data architecture, modeling, and governance for SaaS or cloud-based applications.
- Deep domain expertise in healthcare data, specifically with formats like FHIR, CCDA, HL7v2, and claims data.
- Strong technical proficiency in Python and Spark, along with extensive experience in at least one SQL dialect.
- Experience with modern data lake technologies, such as Databricks or Delta Lake, and a solid understanding of both batch and real-time streaming processes.
- A curious, analytical mindset with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and a comfort level with navigating ambiguity.
- Fluency in English.
