Health Educator Intern at Hellobrightline

Welcome to Brightline. We are thrilled to launch our 2026 internship program, which focuses on supporting our Brightlife Kids initiative. Developed in partnership with California’s Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative, this program is dedicated to reimagining behavioral health care for families. We aim to promote social and emotional well-being for children aged 12 and under by providing accessible, personalized, and equitable services. We are looking for passionate students to join our team and help us make a tangible impact on the health of local communities.

What you'll be doing

• You will partner with our Community Engagement Leads to represent Brightlife Kids at local events, such as school gatherings and fairs, to advocate for the importance of pediatric behavioral health.
• You will lead meaningful conversations with parents and families, helping them understand our mission and guiding them toward the resources they need.
• You will manage administrative tasks, including tracking your hours and logging community leads, while utilizing tools like Google Workspace to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What you'll bring

• You are currently a student who is at least 18 years old and has completed high school or an equivalent education.
• You possess strong communication and organizational skills, allowing you to speak confidently to groups and maintain meticulous documentation.
• You are proficient in English, and your ability to speak Spanish is considered a major asset for connecting with the diverse communities we serve.
• You have access to reliable transportation, as you will need to travel to community events within a one-hour driving radius of your home.
• You are comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your outreach efforts, and adapting quickly to feedback.

What you'll get

This internship offers a compensation of 41,600 USD per year, calculated at an hourly rate of 20 USD. In addition to gaining valuable professional experience, you can expect the following:

• We provide payment for your driving time when traveling to and from events.
• We are happy to coordinate with your university to help you earn academic credit for your internship hours, provided it meets your institution's requirements.
