Now we're looking for a leader who can scale the software that makes it all possible.
Role at a glance
Head of Software Engineering, full-time, lead-level position based fully on-site in Chatsworth, California, five days a week.
Your impact
- Lead, mentor, and grow a hands-on team of software engineers while staying close to the code, driving both team performance and technical excellence.
- Own the full software stack-from customer-facing web apps to the command-line and robotic-cell tools that let users design, command, and monitor our AI-powered manufacturing cells.
- Partner daily with roboticists, mechanical engineers, and materials scientists to turn complex manufacturing challenges into reliable, integrated software solutions.
What you'll need
At least four years of software-engineering management experience in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment. Strong full-stack development skills, a solid grasp of software architecture, algorithms, and data structures, plus the ability to contribute directly to the codebase. Demonstrated success building and leading agile teams, communicating trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and shipping quality software on tight timelines. Comfort working on-site in a manufacturing setting where code interfaces directly with hardware is essential. English fluency is required.
Experience with robotic systems, 3D printing, machine learning, or advanced manufacturing technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with tools such as Jira, GitHub, or GitLab.
