About the Role

We are searching for an experienced Head of Security to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this executive-level role, you will be the primary architect of our security strategy, ensuring that our software platform, corporate operations, and sensitive data remain secure and compliant. You will bridge the gap between our IT operations and our product engineering teams, fostering a culture of security awareness while implementing the tools and processes necessary to mitigate risk in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute a comprehensive, long-term information security strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and protects our infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor a talented team of security professionals while establishing clear security standards, policies, and incident response protocols.
• Collaborate directly with our software engineering and product teams to integrate robust security practices into our platform development lifecycle.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should bring a blend of strategic leadership and technical expertise. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in information security, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management position.
• Proven experience working within organizations that ship software platforms to customers, ideally with exposure to compliance frameworks like SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• Deep knowledge of modern cybersecurity trends, cloud security solutions, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead security training and foster a culture of awareness across all levels of the company.
• A stable, high-speed internet connection to facilitate seamless remote collaboration.

This is a remote position. While we operate across the United States, please note that eligibility for this role is currently limited to candidates residing in CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, IA, MD, MA, MI, MO, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OH, PA, TX, TN, UT, VA, and WA.

Compensation and Benefits
