Role at a glance
We are searching for a strategic and execution-focused Head of Risk and Banking Operations to join our team in New York. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position where you will report directly to the Head of Risk and Fraud. You will be responsible for overseeing our Risk and Banking Operations teams, ensuring we maintain operational excellence as we continue to scale.
Your impact
- Lead and manage our Risk and Banking Operations teams, overseeing everything from hiring and training to daily performance management.
- Define and refine critical policies and procedures for KYC, KYB, CIP, OFAC, and general banking operations like payments and disputes.
- Collaborate across teams, including Product, Engineering, and Fraud Analytics, to implement automation and AI solutions that reduce manual work and improve fraud detection.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of experience leading large operational teams, ideally with a background in both risk and banking operations.
- A deep understanding of the banking ecosystem, including regulatory frameworks like KYC, CIP, and OFAC, along with strong fraud risk management expertise.
- A proven track record in a high-growth fintech or financial institution, with the ability to use data to drive decisions and scale operations.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage complex relationships with bank partners and internal stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
