About the Role
We are seeking a Head of Regions to join our Global Executive Team on a full-time basis. This executive role is central to our new organizational strategy, which focuses on advocating for renewable energy solutions that are affordable, accessible, and community-controlled. You will provide leadership for our programmatic work across Asia, the Pacific, Africa, North America, Europe, and Latin America. By overseeing our regional directors and deputy head of regions, you will ensure our global strategic goals are met while elevating regional voices and contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and communicate the overall strategic direction for the organization as a member of the Global Executive Team, translating our theory of change into clear, measurable goals.
- Provide strategic alignment and coaching to regional team leaders, ensuring that national and local campaigns, mobilization efforts, and movement support remain cohesive with our global mission.
- Oversee the development of region-specific strategies, manage departmental budgets, and operationalize our commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion within all program planning.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in climate justice, social justice, human rights, or development work, including 5 years of experience in building strategies for global campaigns and movement building.
- A minimum of 8 years in senior leadership or management roles, with a proven track record of leading operations in the Global South or East Asia.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple regions and time zones.
- Fluency in English and a demonstrated commitment to anti-racism and anti-oppression work.
- Experience in security management, risk assessment, and working in high-risk environments.
Location
This is a remote position. You may be based in the United States within specific states including CA, CO, CT, GA, MD, MA, ME, MT, NJ, NY, NC, PA, UT, VT, VA, WI, WA, or Washington, DC. Alternatively, you may work remotely from any country where 350.org currently operates, such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Kenya, the Philippines, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, among others.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package structured as Salary tier 5.1. In addition to salary, this position includes the benefit of remote work flexibility.
