What you bring
As our Head of R&D for AAM, you will serve in a full-time, on-site executive capacity within the United States. You will be responsible for defining and executing our autonomy strategy, ensuring our roadmap aligns with both current and future product lines. Your expertise in engineering, Python, Matlab, cloud technologies, and web services will be essential as you lead our efforts in the aerospace sector. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Building, nurturing, and growing our autonomy division while hiring top-tier engineering talent to meet program requirements.
- Leading the technical maturation roadmap, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality R&D outputs from conceptual design to real-world deployment.
- Mentoring team members to foster career growth and maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced leader who possesses a deep understanding of AAM use cases and industrial operations. You should hold a Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field. We require at least 10 years of hands-on experience in complex function development, particularly in real-time simulation environments, and a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role. You must be proficient in software development, including C/C++, Python, and Matlab/Simulink. Ideal candidates will have a strong grasp of flight planning, conflict detection, and resource allocation. Excellent communication skills in English are essential for this role, as you will be representing our technical vision to both internal teams and external partners.
