Key outcomes

• Provide both strategic vision and hands-on leadership to cultivate a culture of quality and continuous improvement across our engineering organization.
• Write code and actively contribute to the design and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks using Java.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy for our SaaS platform that prioritizes automation, product functionality, and user experience.
• Integrate automated testing processes into our CI/CD pipelines to accelerate release cycles and improve delivery efficiency.
• Partner closely with product management and development teams to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment on core quality objectives.
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics to provide transparency regarding system performance and quality trends.
• Oversee performance testing initiatives to ensure our software remains scalable and responsive as we grow.
• Manage defect tracking processes to ensure the timely identification and resolution of issues.
• Direct capacity planning and budget management for the quality engineering department, ensuring efficient use of time and personnel.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to product quality within our complex fintech environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, with a proven track record of building or enhancing automated testing frameworks.
• Deep subject matter expertise in SaaS and fintech, specifically regarding account origination and decisioning.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and modern automation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, fostering accountability and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with resource management, budgeting, and cost optimization.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-friendly startup environment while managing changing priorities with urgency.
• Fluency in English.

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from 185,000 USD to 208,000 USD. In addition to this compensation, we provide the benefit of remote work to support our team members.
