Are you ready to bridge the gap between complex engineering and real-world agricultural success? At Octiva, we are building advanced robotic systems designed to transform greenhouse automation. We combine technical precision with genuine field reliability to help growers thrive, and we are looking for a visionary leader to guide our product strategy as we scale our impact globally.
Role at a glance
We are seeking a Head of Product to join our team in a full-time, lead-level capacity. This is an on-site role based primarily at our headquarters in Leuven, Belgium, with additional opportunities to work from our sites in Breda and Asten, Netherlands. You will report directly to the CEO, taking full responsibility for the entire product lifecycle from initial concept to successful field deployment.
Your impact
- Own the product lifecycle: You will translate complex customer needs and field insights into clear, validated requirements, ensuring our robotics platform remains both technically excellent and commercially viable.
- Drive execution and quality: You will lead our product development from the drawing board to the field, implementing rigorous testing plans and feedback loops to guarantee high performance and reliability.
- Steer the long-term vision: You will maintain an actionable, grounded product roadmap while coordinating across engineering, commercial, and operations teams to ensure our direction aligns with our broader business strategy.
What you'll need
We are looking for a pragmatic and proactive leader who thrives on turning complexity into clear, actionable results. Your background should include:
- A strong technical foundation, ideally a Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in product management, systems engineering, or technical leadership within the robotics or automation sectors.
- Proven experience in writing detailed specifications, managing requirements, and coordinating roadmaps.
- Familiarity with CE and UL certification processes is considered a significant asset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead with structure and build trust across diverse teams.
- Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Dutch is a strong plus.
Perks and compensation
Joining our team means stepping into a central, hands-on leadership role where your initiative directly shapes the future of greenhouse automation. We offer:
- The chance to define and deliver next-generation robotic solutions with global reach.
- A dynamic and supportive company culture that values follow-through and innovation.
- Competitive compensation packages.
- Ample opportunities for professional growth as our company expands.
- A flexible work setup across our locations in Belgium and the Netherlands.
