Head of Product at Earthforce

Wildfires represent a massive 20 trillion dollar crisis, and at Earth Force, we are developing the technology necessary to increase the pace and scale of forest thinning and fuels reduction. Our work creates resilient landscapes and protects communities from the devastating impact of wildfires. We build integrated computer vision systems, ranging from hardware to user interfaces, which are deployed on forestry machinery in remote environments. Our platform enables precision silviculture by measuring trees in real time and automating production reporting. We currently work with the U.S. Forest Service and their partners on multi-year programs, and as we approach our next phase of growth, we are looking for a Head of Product to lead our Guide business unit.

Key outcomes

• Take ownership of the Guide product roadmap by turning company strategy into clear execution milestones and prioritized initiatives.
• Collaborate across our engineering, operations, and commercial teams to align on product requirements, trade-offs, and release schedules.
• Integrate feedback from field operators and customers to ensure our solutions effectively address real-world deployment challenges.
• Manage the balance between immediate deployment needs and our long-term business objectives to ensure sustainable growth.
• Develop and scale the Guide product organization by establishing management processes, documentation standards, and prioritization frameworks.
• Ensure our products are ready for production by defining success criteria that support reliable field operations and commercial adoption.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of leadership.
• Demonstrated success managing products that integrate both hardware and software systems.
• A strong systems-thinking mindset, with the ability to navigate technical, operational, and customer domains simultaneously.
• Experience partnering effectively with technical engineering and architecture teams.
• The ability to build structure and thrive while navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to make difficult prioritization decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to align diverse stakeholders.
• A collaborative, low-ego approach to leadership and a passion for solving complex, real-world problems.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Background in industrial technology, robotics, edge AI, computer vision, IoT, or geospatial systems.
• Experience within forestry, wildfire mitigation, conservation technology, or government-regulated industries.
• A history of building product management organizations from the ground up.
• Familiarity with remote sensing or field-deployed operational systems.
