We are Flock, a financial services company on a mission to give retiring landlords a flexible, reliable way to exit rental property ownership without the usual costs and disruptions of a traditional sale. Seventeen million Americans own rental real estate, and many no longer wish to manage it; our first offering is a 721 Exchange that converts individually held single-family rentals into shares in a professionally managed fund. Backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Human Capital, Susa Ventures, Box Group, Primary Venture Partners, and strategic investors including 1Sharpe Ventures and Redwood Trust, we are preparing for the next stage of growth and are hiring our first product leader to shape that future.
Key outcomes
- Design and refine human-driven sales processes by implementing telemetry and feedback loops that improve conversion and customer understanding.
- Translate leadership vision and customer insights into clear, personalized journeys that help retiring landlords evaluate and adopt our exchange solution.
- Own the product roadmap, prioritizing high-impact features and securing alignment across engineering, sales, and operations teams.
- Establish operating cadences and quality controls that enable engineering to deliver reliable, on-time product releases.
Requirements
- Five or more years of product management experience, preferably in roles that require close collaboration with go-to-market functions.
- Demonstrated success building and shipping complex products from early stages through iteration.
- Strong storytelling ability, capable of learning new financial or real-estate concepts quickly and conveying them through clear, visual narratives rather than lengthy explanations.
- Deep attention to detail in mapping user journeys, identifying micro-level problems, and consistently meeting the needs of multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm for partnering daily with sales and operations colleagues to surface insights and drive decisions.
- Background or genuine interest in financial products or real estate.
- Professional fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in early-stage, venture-backed companies where product, sales, and operations must move in tight coordination.
Compensation
The annual salary and on-target earnings range for this role in New York City is $200,000 to $300,000, plus equity and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) coverage. Compensation for other locations will be determined based on experience and local market conditions.
