Head of Product, Credit Risk at Bondora

What is this role about?

As Head of Product, Credit Risk, you will be the owner and strategist of Bondora’s credit stack. Your work will directly shape how we lend, approve, and scale responsibly across Europe. You will collaborate across Data Science, Legal, Risk, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, transparent, and compliant credit decisioning products that serve over 1 million customers.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Drive the vision and roadmap for our credit decisioning platform, ensure credit decisions are scalable, compliant, and traceable.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Science, Risk, Legal, and Country teams to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Enable internal and external configurability of credit products.
• Support PD modeling and feature engineering initiatives with the Data Science team.
• Deliver tools for risk managers to configure and test policies with audibility and explainability, advocate for the quality and lifecycle of decisioning data.

What would ensure success in this role?

• Proven experience building credit decisioning, lending platforms, or risk engines.
• Deep knowledge of risk and regulatory frameworks.
• Solid understanding of machine learning for credit scoring and model monitoring.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with platforms like Taktile, Provenir, or similar.
• Hands-on experience managing portfolio-level risk or affordability policies in a multi-country fintech.
