We are IDEO, a global design and innovation firm dedicated to creating transformative products, services, and experiences. We are currently launching an ambitious new venture to expand our footprint into the media landscape, and we are seeking a visionary Head of Media to lead this initiative from the ground up. This executive role is essential to our growth, requiring a leader who can build a commercial media arm, forge strategic partnerships, and integrate this new unit into our broader organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to launch and commercialize our media business, including defining business models and revenue streams.
- Direct the creation of scalable, high-impact content that elevates our brand and supports our global reputation for innovation.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that extend our reach and drive mutual growth.
- Provide inclusive leadership by mentoring a talented team and fostering a diverse, equitable, and collaborative work environment.
- Manage the unit's P&L, oversee budgeting, and ensure we meet our financial growth and profitability targets.
- Drive operational synergy by integrating our media efforts with existing business units to uncover new client opportunities.
Must-haves
- Extensive executive experience in content creation, media business development, and scaling new ventures.
- Proven ability to lead complex partnerships within the media and venture sectors.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing a significant P&L.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- A track record of leading teams with a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Fluency in English.
