Head of Media at IDEO

We are currently embarking on a significant new venture to expand our influence into the media landscape and are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead this initiative. This role is essential to our long-term growth strategy, as you will be responsible for building a new media arm from the ground up, managing high-level partnerships, and integrating this venture into our existing operations to unlock fresh opportunities across the firm.

Key outcomes

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to launch and commercialize our media business, including the creation of sustainable revenue models.
• Direct the production of scalable, high-quality content that reinforces our reputation as a global leader in design and innovation.
• Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with external organizations to broaden our reach and drive mutual growth.
• Provide inclusive leadership by mentoring a talented team and fostering a diverse, equitable, and collaborative work environment.
• Drive operational synergy by integrating the media unit with our broader business services to attract new clients and improve overall efficiency.
• Maintain full P&L responsibility, overseeing budgets and financial strategies to ensure the unit meets its profitability goals.

Requirements

• Extensive executive experience in media business development, content creation, and the successful commercialization of new ventures.
• A proven track record of building and leading strategic partnerships, particularly within the media and venture capital sectors.
• Strong financial acumen with deep experience managing a sizable P&L and overseeing business operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead with emotional intelligence and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English.

Compensation

The base salary for this position is $220,000 USD. We are dedicated to the holistic well-being of our team members and offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
