About the Role
We are seeking a Head of IT (Operations) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this executive-level role, you will report directly to the COO and serve as a key enabler for our business growth. You will be responsible for maintaining our current infrastructure while identifying and leading improvements to optimize our IT systems as we scale. This is a hands-on position that requires a leader who can balance competing priorities, manage budgets effectively, and provide transparent recommendations to support our ambitious goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with our business objectives while identifying new opportunities to leverage technology for operational efficiency.
- Take a hands-on approach to managing and improving our network infrastructure, including disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and the enforcement of robust security policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative culture and ensuring the effective delivery of projects and initiatives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- At least 10 years of experience in information technology, with strong business and technical acumen.
- Proven expertise in managing and optimizing SaaS platforms, as well as deep knowledge of hardware, software, and network administration.
- Experience in improving and enforcing security frameworks to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is considered a plus.
- Competence in administering Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, with a strong understanding of ERP systems like NetSuite.
Location
This position is based in the United Kingdom and follows a hybrid work model, requiring a mix of time spent in our Bristol or London offices and remote work.
