We’re looking for a strategic, people-oriented leader to drive the evolution of our Cloud Infrastructure and Developer Experience team.

As Clark’s Head of Infrastructure & Platform, your main tasks will include:

• Technical Leadership: Balance cost-conscious infrastructure management with reliability, scalability, and security on platforms like AWS and Kubernetes.
• Operational Exellence: Ensuring smooth operation of our products and development infrastructure and making sure product teams have the right tools to understand and improve those aspects of their systems, as well.
• Developer Productivity: Optimize our development tool stack, aligning it with business needs and bring together a fragmented mix of tools to maximize developer efficiency.
• Team Development: Lead and mentor a talented Core Platform team, building cohesion and ensure each team member is able to produce impactful results.
• Service Improvement: Work closely with our development teams, our Staff Engineers, Information Security and Compliance to develop a roadmap of development improvements.
• Collaboration: Engage with product and tech leaders to ensure our infrastructure and developer experience strategies support broader business objectives.

• Technical leadership: Ability to set technical goals that can show the business impact they deliver. Experience with managing a roadmap of technical changes that strengthen and unify our technical landscape and working with a budget.
• People Leadership: Proven record in managing technical teams and fostering the professional growth of employees.
• Strategic Vision: Strong understanding of how infrastructure and developer productivity impact product delivery, cost, and operational efficiency and how this translates to the overall business success.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, Terraform) and developer productivity tools (Jenkins, Backstage, Sentry). Understanding of the development lifecycle and  hands-on development experience.
• Vendor management: Experience in selecting and managing vendors and maintaining beneficial relationships.
• Communication Skills: Ability to work with the business and leadership side to create understanding for what the team is doing and how this impacts the overall business.
• Excellent English skills, both spoken and written. German skills are a plus.
• The ability to work in an agile multi-national, distributed organization
